Scotia Inspection Consultants Pty Ltd has successfully undergone a number of stringent Customer, Internal and External Audits

  • ISO 9001:2015 re-certification audit last November 2023 conducted by Bureau Veritas. The scope was expanded to Oil and Gas Non Destructive Testing (NDT) and Inspection Services. Scotia Inspection Consultants ISO 9001 Certification.
  • IEC/ISO 17020:2012 – Date of Accreditation 08th March 2024 –  Re validation Audit conducted by National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA). Through this successful audit, Scotia maintains scope of accreditation under IEC/ISO 17020:2012 for Lifting and Lifted equipment inspection. Scotia Inspection Consultants successful NATA Surveillance Audit and Extension of NDT Scope

Scotia Inspection Consultant has successfully achieved extension of the following Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) scope in accordance with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO/IEC 17025:

  • 6.50 Ultrasonic examination of materials
    • 99 Product-specific ultrasonic technique capability, specified as follows
      Ultrasonic examination of tubular drill pipe in accordance with facility procedure number

  • 6.51 Ultrasonic thickness testing
    • 01 Material thickness – spot or grid measurements only
  • 6.61 Magnetic particle testing
    • 01 Magnetic flow method – AC magnetization
    • 03 Coil method
  • 6.71 Penetrant testing
    • 01 Water washable method
    • 02 Solvent removable method
  • 6.81 Electromagnetic examination of materials
    • 11 Surface flaw detection using high frequency eddy current on structural welds on lifting containers and baskets in accordance with facility procedure SIC-WI-36

Scotia is also accredited in accordance with the requirements of AS/NZS ISO/IEC 17020 (2000) as Type A Inspection Body:

  • 04 Rigging Components
    • Code(s): In-house procedures covering relevant Australian Standards
      Rigging components such as rigging screws, turnbuckles, shackles, plate clamps, rings, oblong links, wire rope grips and other terminal devices and attachments
  • 06 Cranes components
    • Code(s): In-house procedures covering relevant Australian Standards
      Crane components limited to wire ropes, chains, webbing, sheaves, drums, hook blocks and other terminal fittings
